U14 Girls Gaelic Blitz – Pics

The U14 girls’ school Gaelic team took part in a blitz on Monday, 9th March, enjoying a fantastic day of football in Derry.

They got off to a strong start in their first game against St. Brigid’s, securing an impressive 7–2 to 2–1 victory. The team carried that momentum into their second match against Dominican, putting in another excellent performance to win 9–3 to 3–0.

Their third game proved to be a tougher challenge against a very strong Deele side, with the girls battling hard but ultimately losing 7–4 to 0–3. The final match against St. Mary’s was a closely contested game. Despite a determined effort from the team, they were narrowly defeated by
7–1 to 5–2.

Overall, the girls performed very well across all four games, showing great skill, teamwork and determination throughout the blitz. We look forward to the next round of the competition which will be after Easter.
