TY Heritage in Schools Workshop- Pics

Our TY’ s got to experience some hands-on history with archaeologist Dave Swift. Students got to inspect a unique collection of original and/or faithfully reproduced artefacts with their own hands. A lively historical narrative was provided throughout the session explaining the major characters, social conditions and customs of the time.

Dave also spoke to the students about career opportunities for archaeologists and historians, with particular reference to his own experiences in the film industry.

Thanks to Dave and @heritageireland for funding this excellent programme.
