U14 Girls Football Q/F- Pics

Our U14 Girls travelled to St Nauls, Mountcharles to play a strong Loretto Letterkenny side. Both teams needed to win to proceed to the semi finals. Letterkenny had an excellent start and controlled the opening of the first half, taking the lead 1-2 to no score. CCBS eventually settled into the game and got into their stride. The CCBS defence fought for every ball and made it very difficult for the Letterkenny side to get any scores for the remainder of the half. Ciara Dolan found the back of the net at a crucial stage to push CCBS ahead by 3-4 to 1-3 at half time.
Unfortunately, after keeping the lead for so long, Loretto cut through and took the lead with some lucky shots creeping in under the crossbar. CCBS got within one point again with a goal and a point from Ciara Larkin but Letterkenny answered it with another two goals. The final score was 4-5 to 7-6.
