Double Success for Colaíste Cholmcille – Pics

The atmosphere in the sports hall was electric on Thursday as both the Minor and Junior Girls Basketball Teams became regional (A) winners in the Basketbaall Ireland Schools League. The 1st years battled it out against Colaíste Na Carraige in the first finally and after a bumpy start they eventually found their form. The 2nd years who were narrowly defeated by AVS in the last round played brilliant defence in the final quarter to secure the win. A game that had everyone on the edge of their seats. Both teams now progress to the All Ireland Playoffs. This marks the 3rd regional title for the school this year, the senior girls were crowned regional champions in January. Next up are the boys who host their finals next week and we wish them every success.
