Erasmus – Slovakia Day 3- Pics
Morning began with a series of energisers to get everyone going – some really testing the students’ coordination and concentration. This was followed by a speed dating activity to help get to know the group slightly better.
Once energised it was off to the Tetra Art Gallery for a morning of creativity. A beautiful building converted from an old factory but still showcasing original features like the red brick chimney stack outside. Students then engaged in a range of activities from tie dying t-shirts or using bleach to create a design in line with the rest of their team. Students also had the chance to explore the gallery and see the artwork on display. Finally, the groups created their flags for the Olympic games tomorrow in school. The idea was to develop a flag that represented the group and the ideals of the Olympics and of our Erasmus+ project.
The afternoon was a mixture of action and relaxation. It began with a range of sporting activities in the school gym with students having a go at volleyball, table tennis and more.
The day finished with a visit to the local cinema to see the movie Air. It charts the story of how Nike signed the groundbreaking shoedeal with basketball legend and Olympic champion of course Michael Jordan.
