Our U16 girls travelled to Deele College on the 25th of October for round 3 of championship. CCBS was playing into the wind in the first half but worked some great scores through Ciara Larkin and Orlaith Gallagher.
Zakia Shyabo and Clara Gallagher were a great support to the forwards coming through. Ciara, Orlaith and Zakia found the back of the net with some excellent shots coming through the centre at pace.
At half time CCBS were winning 5:3 to 1:2.
Our back line was kept busy throughout the game. Emer McDevitt and Jessica O’Mahoney along with Emma Gilmartin had some great interceptions.
Grace McNelis Lee and Ciara added another two goals to the score line.
It was a great team performance and great to see everyone getting a game. The final score was Colaiste Cholmcille 7:7 to 1:2 to Deele College. The final game will decide if the girls move out of the group stages. They will play St Columbas Glenties after the midterm break.

Thanks to the TY boys who helped out at todays game as part of their Gaisce Award.
