My name is Clara, and I am in first year in Coláiste Cholmcille. At first, I was nervous, but once I got into school on the first day, I learnt that there was nothing to be nervous about. My favourite thing about secondary school is that you get to try new subjects such as Woodwork, Metalwork, Music, Home Economics and more. I also like that we get to move classrooms.

Hi Róise here. I am in 1.1. I hope you are all excited about starting 1st year. I have really enjoyed my time here so far. I would recommend talking and socialising with people who may not have been your friends from primary school. I would also recommend being organised with all your subjects and putting your head down and working. This makes school life a lot easier. Good Luck!

My name is Hannah and I am in 1.1, which is Year 1 Class 1. There are so many great things about being in Coláiste Cholmcille, we have an amazing canteen, very friendly teachers, staff and so much more! I was very nervous about starting in first year but now I realise that there was no need to worry. My best advice would be to stay organised, don’t be late to class and most importantly talk to people and make new friends. I hope you get on well.
