Once in a Lifetime Event for CCBS- Pics

On a beautiful day we welcomed our former pupil and Olympic Bronze medalist Mona McSharry to the school this morning, along with her coach Grace Meade from the Ballyshannon Marlin’s Swimming Club.
It was great to get everyone together in the sports hall to give Mona the recognition she deserves. The atmosphere was fantastic and everyone’s day certainly got off to a real uplifting start. It’s not often that we get to celebrate some of our own who have achieved what Mona and Grace have. All at CCBS are immesely proud of what they have done.
Our students got the opportunity to listen to a really positive role model. Mona’s dedication to her sport and her determination to make her dreams come true was inspirational. Seeing someone like that who has walked the same school halls offers encouragement to everyone in our school community to dream big and just go for it.
