The Maggie Gough Maths Competition- Pics
Well done to our 2nd , TY and 5th year students who took part in “The Maggie Gough Competition”. This is an online competition which tests the problem solving skills of Junior and Senior Cycle students. It is named after the first known Irish woman to receive a PhD in Mathematics – Maggie Gough (Sr Mary de Lellis Gough). Certificates were presented to those students who achieved the highest scores. We are delighted that so many students participated and we look forward to the next competition organised by the IMTA which is called “Peter’s Problem” and is open to TY students.
