Colaiste Cholmcille vs Carndonagh R1
Our U14 girls travelled to Melvin 4G pitch in Strabane on Tuesday with a panel of 31 players. The weather made conditions extremely difficult for the girls. CCBS played against she wind for the first half and managed to score 1:4 against a gale force wind. Niamh Duffy, after numerous attempts from her teammates, scored the first goal of the game. Zakia Shaybo and Caitlin McGrory were excellent in full back and goals and kept Carndonagh scores to a minimum. At half time, the score was 1:4 to 2 points to CCBS.
In the second half the girls used the wind to their advantage and scored another 4 goals to finish out the game. Goals came from brilliant runs and support play and finished by Andrea Moore and Cadhla Dolan. The final score was 5:8 to 2 points. Well done to all the girls and we look forward to playing Moville in two weeks’ time.
